Fishing The Upstream Wet Fly in Pocket Waters

It’s very similar to how I enjoy “TENKARA”


That’s exactly how I fish the tumbling streams of the Sierra Nevada’s!
With a few differences, like a single fly.
I’m working out using a tapered nylon line just barely the length of my rod for this. It took some experimenting with casting technique to foil the wind issues, but I think I’ve got it worked out.
Funny how similar the described presentation is to traditional tenkara…
