# Penny Ratings for the Tiny Ten and Shimotsuke Kiyotaki 18?

I’m in the market for a cheap and very short (180 cm or less) rod that could still handle something like a 10- or 12-inch trout. I don’t really need it to do a traditional tenkara cast very well; I’ll mostly be bow-and-arrow casting with it.
From what I’ve read online, I understand that the [Shimotsuke Kiyotaki 18](https://www.tenkarabum.com/shimotsuke-kiyotaki.html) is relatively stiff and the [Tiny Ten](https://tinytenkara.com/products/tiny-ten-rod) is a broomstick, but does anyone have penny ratings ([Common Cents ratings](https://www.tenkarabum.com/common-cents-database.html)) for these two stiff little rods in particular? Anyone willing to do the test and find out?
Or if nothing else, for people who have both rods, can you tell me how the two compare to each other? I’m guessing the Tiny Ten is stiffer? Thanks!

I have both well the Shimotsuke 24 and the tiny, take a look at the esoteric 205/245 I think is a great small tenkara rod that is inexpensive.
