I’ve pretty much given up on Amazon. I do curbside pickups from Target and Best Buy, other places too. Seems like the only ones that can’t handle this is Amazon.
I had a situation last weekend where I regretted not having a fly rod of some sort with me, so this week I bought this to keep in my backpack:

It was delivered yesterday and I took it to the the lake for the last 30 minutes of daylight last night. For $54 I’m actually pretty happy with how it went. I put 10’ of 2wt fly line on it and a battle beetle tied to the end of about 3’ of 4x tippet.
It cast really well. Surprisingly well to me. I had on a topwater fly so I could see the light takes that I was getting, but I could also still feel them.
I’ll be happy with this. Until I’m not. When that time comes I’ll buy one of the other <15" collapsed rods or I’ll buy a bigger backpack to hold the Dragontail Talon. This weekend this perfectly serviceable pack rod will be with me the whole time.
