I asked about our trip, we are not in the magazine. I do not think we will make it. I am told that it could be in a future copy but I doubt it. What the article was designed to be and what it turned out to be was two different things. I invited people to go with me and it changed the topic and the dynamic. Given that and I was told it was slated for spring and other things, I highly doubt we will see this in Headwaters.

I sometimes see people post that they fish with a line that is 1.52x rod length. But not often post that they fish a line where 34% of total line length is tippet. Maybe people here do fish with lines like that and just haven’t posted about it. I’ve tried something close to that a few times, but haven’t yet had much success with it.

The Pechika Blog provides the most common recommendations:
竿の長さ= A、
テンカララインの長さ= B、
ハリスの長さ= Cとした時
狭い（せまい）い川幅で使う、
短い仕掛け（しか）けB = A-100㎝C =60㎝
B + C = A-40㎝
一番使いスタンダードの仕掛けB = A-70㎝C =70㎝B + C = A
幅のある川で使用する仕掛けB = A-40㎝C =80㎝
B + C = A +40㎝
このテンカララインとハリスの長さのバランは基本の仕掛けですが、

6m ~ 10m Fluorocarbon line (１。５〜 ５。５号) , or 12m Nylon line + 1.5 m Nylon tippet (０。６〜 ２。０号) & kebari of no, 4 ~ 12. Much to extreme for me to try using.

Anyway, one of the nice features of Keiryu Magazine is each story list the tackle set up of the person featured in each story. It’s always enlightening to see what set up they fish with on different streams. Choice of rod, and line balance. & kebari type.

The tenkara angler featured in the story about double hand tenkara (ダブルバンドのテンカラ) is 反町工健さん (Sorimachi Takumiken-san ?)
Apparently he is wildly known for main stream bait and lure fishing. You can find many websites if you to google search for his name.
But very little can be found about him and double hand tenkara. 反町工健さん・ダブルバンドのテンカラ. I was hoping I could find a video of him fishing with this method.
Only these 3 web pages, all from the same website. And they are blog post from last February. In the first link it is only mentioned in the last comment to the post, that is mostly about a different topic, but they are interesting comments. Comments about the article about double hand tenkara written about in the Spring 2016 issue of Keiryu magazine.

Name translations are always difficult to get correct.
It is confusing to choose whether to use the default English translation or the alternate English translation or the Phonic for the name. That is why I always prefer to include the name as written in Japanese. Well, that and because there are so many homonyms.
For example:
The default English translation of 瀬畑雄三 is Yuzo Setohata. alternate Serahatake Yuzo, but the phonic is Sebata Yūzō, which is correct.
The author of How to Enjoy Kebari Fishing ( 毛バリ釣りの楽しみ方) is 桑原 玄辰, and most commonly I see his name translated as Kuwabara Gentatsu, which is the alternate English translation, phonic for his name displays as Kuwabara Gen tatsu. But the default English translation is Kuwahara Genkin. However, in this book the Hiragana (Japanese Phonic) for his name is written as くわばら ひろとき, Kuwahara Hirotoki. I assume that is the correct Romji for his name.
反町工健 default English translation is Sorimachi Kunio, the phonic is listed as Sorimachi Takumi Ken, but the alternate English is Sorimachi KoKen, (Sorimachi Koken), which I chose to not use in favor of the listed phonic.
Therefore, if you always also list the Japanese spelling, then people are not left to guess at trying to convert the Romji for the name into the correct Japanese spelling.
