Hello,
Just wondering if any one has done a review of the Anglo & Company Wasabi 40. Looking for comments SPECIFICALLY regarding the Wasabi 40, and not the 32 or 36 Wasabi models.
Thanks,
FredSG

Hi Fred,
I haven’t done a review, but own it and have fished it a lot. I like all the Anglo rods. They are among the most premium rods in terms of build quality that I own. I like how they translate between fishing an Oni style and a tactical nymphing style. The rod is very tough, I have yet to break one and I’m not easy on rods. My 4.0 is the only rod I’ve accidentally closed in the car door and it survived with no issues. Not saying you can’t break one, but I’m surprised at how tough they are. My favorite small stream rod is probably the Kowasa that Anglo makes, but it is between that and the Tenryu TF32TA which is the smaller version of the Tenryu TF39TA.
The 4.0 is tip heavy, meaning you feel more weight pressing down when holding the grip. The balance point is into the second section of the rod because of the length and weight of the grip. The 3.6 version of the Wasabi feels more balanced in the hand than the 4.0. The tip heaviness doesn’t bother me, many rods of this length feel tip heavy and I don’t notice it after fishing for a bit.
Let me know if you want more info on it.
