I was confused for a long time about just what are minoge, 蓑毛, feathers.
I would find a website that described minoge, and think, I got it now. Only to later find a different website that described minoge differently.
And really still not quite certain I know what kind of feathers minoge are. Other than soft hackle, maybe.
And digital translation make a mess of it, calling it wooden hair, straw rain coat, and other weird translations.
That’s right
It is difficult even in my mother tongue to accurately convey the meaning of words
The upper row shows the soft hackle
Below that is a cock neck etc.
My straw rain coat blew away on a windy day.
There is no choice but to laugh
Unified technical terms are necessary for everyone
Or do you enjoy a funny story?
There was a Huff…then a Puff…and the wind blew my coat away…
I like the diagram and recognize some that you have tied a bit…that I have yet to try. Its the toothbrush bristly ones. I will tie some tonight to try soon.
