I was confused for a long time about just what are minoge, 蓑毛, feathers.
I would find a website that described minoge, and think, I got it now. Only to later find a different website that described minoge differently.
And really still not quite certain I know what kind of feathers minoge are. Other than soft hackle, maybe.
And digital translation make a mess of it, calling it wooden hair, straw rain coat, and other weird translations.

There was a Huff…then a Puff…and the wind blew my coat away…
I like the diagram and recognize some that you have tied a bit…that I have yet to try. Its the toothbrush bristly ones. I will tie some tonight to try soon.
