Having posted pretty extensively here about developing Tenkara accessories, I thought it might be fun to share some non-Tenkara stuff I’ve been designing too.
Hard to find time, but I carve my own striped bass plugs. They are 10.5" and 6oz. I spend time tuning them so they suspend on pause and look alive when dead drifting or swinging.
The story behind the top plug, it is mine but lost it in a cove in june and found it in september.
Very nice looking lures, and apparently very durable too! What a coincidence to find it months later.
There’s some poetry to finding the residue of an ancient craftsman within walking distance of your own lost handywork. I occasionally find little artifacts on my outings; I wonder how common this is among fishermen.
