Where are you?

Eugene Oregon. I spend most of my time fishing all the waters within an hour of my home.

I’m based in the UK - in Leicestershire, I fish locally in streams with small populations of wild brown trout. I also fish in Derbyshire on the Rivers Dove and Manifold, for wild brown trout and grayling.

Reno, NV. I started in with Tenkara late this summer after the light bulb went on during a trip fishing for goldens in their native spring creeks, as an ounce shaver for backpacking, but my initial “ testing” on my regular beats around my home now has me chasing the challenge of big fish on fixed line.

Chris Stewart and Tom Davis are serious Tenkara- junkie facilitators I might add. Along with the great podcasts and YouTubers. Thanks to all you guys & gals for the knowledge.

Wow John,
I have always wanted to catch a Golden Trout. Maybe one day I will get a chance.
You caught a beautiful trout my friend.

I’m newly located in southeastern Wisconsin along Lake Michigan. Formerly from far northern Wisconsin near Lake Supeior. Plenty of steelhead up north.

Burbank, CA. The local mountains only an hour from Los Angeles rise to 10,000 feet and many small canyons and streams hold trout! And the Sierra Nevada are an endless playground only about 3 hrs from my door.

Not new to Tenkara, but apparently I never found my way over to the forum. Loss of over 10 years I guess.

I’m in Oklahoma and mostly fish for the warmwater guys, but make my way to Missouri for trout often, and always take a rod or two when I travel just in case.
