I was invited to a cabin on Wilson Creek near Collettsville off of RT#90 on to Brown Mt. Beach Road. The fishing was amazing. I caught Browns and Rainbows with a pink bead head, pink wire body, and forward brown hackle. The rainbows were huge and I was lucky enough to catch a 19in., 20 in., and the biggest 23 in. beast. Thank you Chris Stewart for your TenBum 40 tenkara rod, It more than handled the large rainbows. The owner was taking pictures and a video so I’m hoping to get a copy sent to me. The only draw back is the 6.5 hours drive to get there and the 6.5 hour drive on the return. I look 85 South to 40 North. Really nice people and they invited me for meals. I told my son I sprained my elbow because the fish were so big. He just gave me a look of “get real dad.”
Has anyone fished this area before? Really beautiful place and the local people are awesome.
