WTB Nissin Air Stage Fuijryu 330 5:5 or 6:4

WTB Nissin Air Stage Fuijryu 330 5:5 or 6:4. New or used. Thanks

Can’t help you there but I do have a TB 33 I could sell.

I can’t believe you’re willing to part with your TB 33 Dave! You must be making room for some more rods😂

Nah, I just don’t use it that much anymore.

My son-in-law has the 360 cm 5:5. I have tried to trade him or buy it at full price. He will not
budge on any deal, it must be a wonderful rod. I hope Tenkara Bum will restock these rods
once Japan starts opening up a more consistent shipping schedule to the US. We can only
hope and pray it will be sooner than later.

Unfortunately Tenbum isn’t carrying them any more (simplifying things as he approaches retirement). I’ve had the 410 5:5 on order with him for some time and he suspects it will be early next year now. Tenkara ya will help you once they are back in stock.

Kris,
Will he retire soon and simply close the business. I was really hoping it was problems with importing stock from Japan. This was my place to go for Japanese rods and equipment. I wonder if anyone will fill the huge gap this will leave to the sport. Chris Stewart is an awesome guy and I hate to see him go after all the hard work he put into the company. However, I do understand when it is time to retire then it’s time to go. I did the same thing with teaching and coaching after 37 years. It seems like tenkara companies, tenkara blogs, and tenkara people are dropping like flies. Sad to see this happen.

Nobody here in the US will fill the huge hole the Chris will be leaving in Japanese tenkara rod retailing.
However you can easily get most anything you want from Tenkara-ya in Japan.
Ordering is different, shipping costs are higher and it will take a few more days to get your rod. BUT he is a very good person to deal with, takes credit cards and PayPal, and has some unique things you see a lot in Japan that nobody here is interested in carrying.
I’ve dealt with him repeatedly over the last couple years and recommended him very highly.

To add to the thread drift I have also been wondering about Chris Stewart’s-Tenkarabum’s status. What terrific products, Service, and Support he’s provided me over the few years I’ve been involved. However I’m very happy for him if he has chosen retirement. It is a glorious phase of life, and I would wish him all the best to revel in it!

I just found the 360 / 5:5 and the person is willing to make a trade. He has fished it once for about a hour so it is in brand new condition. He wanted a bush craft knife I own that has never been used. Thought I had to have this knife but as it turned out the one I’m using is my favorite. This trade will be great for both of us.
